What We've Been Doing - Summer Term
Tuesday 23rd April
Welcome back after the Easter holidays. We hope that you enjoyed the wonderful sunshine and are all well rested and ready for our busy last term of school.
This term our new learning adventure will be called ‘Into the Woods’. The children have come up with lots of ideas about what they would like to learn about and we have planned lots of learning activities to fit around their interests. Just some of things that they would like to find out are: Which animals, birds and insects live in woods? What different trees are there? How do birds sing and fly? How do people draw and paint trees? They were also keen to read stories about the woods and came up with the idea of Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood.
Our first day back was a very exciting one. We received a letter from a visitor to Bingham called Wendy. She had heard some strange sounds coming from our wildlife area in the holiday and thought a creature may be living there. We went to investigate and found lots of clues. We also wrote lots of questions about the mystery visitor and were lucky enough to speak to Wendy on the phone to see if she could answer them.
